Dog Park 1

If you’re looking for a novel way of putting a “woof” over your head for the night, I may have just the answer, and it’s found in Cottonwood, Idaho.

The Dog Park Inn is a bed and breakfast where you sleep in what is essentially the world’s biggest beagle. Now, I’m more of a cat person myself, but I have to admit that this is pretty cute, and it’d be a great place to take young kids (and let’s face it, hotels that appeal directly to children are few and far between).

There’s a balcony jutting out from the second storey of Sweet Willy (what, you didn’t think the dog was nameless did you?) for guests’ prairie-viewing pleasure as well as plenty of dog carvings on the furniture inside. And in keeping with the theme, the traditional mints on the pillow have been replaced with – wait for it – dog-shaped cookies. Sleeping in the doghouse doesn’t sound so bad after all, hey?
