How does vacationing at your own vineyard sound? Photo by Vino Caliterra.

Your weekly roundup of the hottest travel links across the net:

1. Ever wanted to pick and crush grapes and bottle your very own wine (from your very own vineyard)? It sounds like the realm of the rich, but many [ordinary] people are snapping up acres of vineyard at co-ops in Argentina and making vino during their vacation. Sound tempting? Check out the full story here and start imagining what it would be like to serve up a bottle of your own vintage at the next dinner party.

2. I’ve mentioned before my obsession with time-lapse videos, but this one really takes the cake. Photographer Kien Lam spent a year traveling around the world and made a super speed video of all of the amazing places he stumbled across. From the ruins of Machu Picchu to the Salt Flats of Bolivia to the Wadi Rum desert of Jordan and everything in between – this video is full of stunning imagery. It really makes me nostalgic about my own travels and makes me wish I had something like this to remember it all by!

3. And finally, this is a bit old, but I only stumbled across it recently and just had to share it with those of you who are so bored by the in-flight safety announcement you’ve stopped paying attention to it (and isn’t that pretty much everyone?). A couple of Southwest Airlines flight attendants found a novel way to get passengers to actually listen to what they had to say – they sing their announcements. Take a look at this video of one attendant doing an awesome rap and another of a hostess singing.
