In my opinion, big cities are simultaneously some of the coolest but hardest destinations to visit because there’s just so much you could do. You know you can’t possibly see everything – especially on a short trip – but choosing which museums, attractions, bars, restaurants and shops to visit out of the hundreds on offer can be a little overwhelming. And I’m the kind of person that really hates finding out later about some sort of “must-see” that I didn’t see because I just didn’t know.

As America’s so-called “Second City,” Chicago definitely falls into the oh-my-gosh-there’s-so-much-to-do-where-on-earth-do-I-start category – I should know, I live here but I still feel like I’m constantly discovering new places. That said, if you’re one of the 40 million or so people that plans on visiting Chicago this year and you want to know my suggestions for where to eat, drink, sleep and go, you might want to check out the travel guide I wrote for Argus, who provide car hire in Chicago. I’ve listed some of my favorite things to do and see, but if you’ve been to the Windy City, I’d love to hear some of your recommendations too – like I said, I’m always uncovering new things in this city…
