There’s a reason why services like airbnb have become so popular in recent years – sometimes when you’re traveling you just need extra space and the comforts of home. Well one of the great things about the Palm beach Marriott Singer Island is that you get exactly that – a spacious apartment-style suite, but with the quality that’s assured by a hotel. This oceanfront hotel which is situated on Florida’s Singer Island attracts lots of families who want a comfortable base to explore the region’s white sandy beaches.
Rooms at the resort are set up as suites that resemble premium one or two bedroom apartments. These mini apartments are spacious, with the lounge area separated from the bedrooms, huge marble bathrooms, walk in closets, and balconies.
There is also a fully equipped kitchen – that means a full size fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave and grill combo, and a stove, as well as all the pots, pans, cutlery and utensils you might need. It’s ideal for families who need to prepare meals for kids, or just for heating up leftovers that you take away from your meals (a lot of the meals at the resort restaurants were too big to finish and staff always offered to box up the remains).
I also loved that the suites had a laundry area with a washer and dryer, so you can pack light and run a load once your clothes get covered in sunscreen and sand.

The Beach & Pool
One of the draws of the resort is the great beach area which you can easily access from the hotel. Guests can rent beach chairs along this pristine stretch of sand or just spread out on a beach towel.
There’s also snorkel gear for hire if you want to explore the coral reef located right in front of the hotel.
If you don’t feel like getting covered in sand, the resort also has two pools for you to cool off in. The Lagoon Pool has a waterfall and water slide which is great for kids (or kids at heart) while the Infinity Pool (which is not actually an infinity pool) has an neighboring whirlpool.
There’s also a private outdoor jacuzzi for guests using the resort’s Si Spa. At the facility you’ll find steam rooms, saunas, and heated marble beds for use. You can also get all the usual services like massages, facials, body scrubs, wraps and so on. Interestingly, the Si Spa also offers special spa services designed especially for men. If you need somewhere to leave the kids while you do all of this, the resort has a kid’s club onsite.
The resort offers several dining options depending on your mood. If you’re down by the beach and want a quick bite, the Reef Tiki Bar is a good place to stop since you can just rock up in your bathing suit.
You can get cocktails served in freshly cracked coconuts or order some casual fare for lunch.
If you’re lounging by the main pool, the Lagoon Cantina is an easy place to grab a bite. The margarita menu is long and the Mexican food is delish. When I went to get lunch, there was even some live music happening.
I’m pretty sure this taco at Lagoon Cantina was bigger than my head.
3800 Ocean has a more upscale feel and the oceanfront restaurant offers nice beach views. Food here is American regional cuisine, with dishes like Maine lobster risotto, horseradish crusted beef tenderloin, crispy skin local snapper and so on. The restaurant also puts on a swanky Sunday brunch with bottomless cocktails, and live music to accompany the chilled seafood, made to order omelets, carved roasts, and desserts.

I was a guest of The Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island, but as always, opinions are my own.
